Always so trendy, the retro style does not stop seducing us. And on the mirror side too, he knows how to make us fall in love. The famous rattan models from the 50s or the famous witch mirrors are back in the spotlight to give our walls a resolutely vintage look. Living room, bedroom, entrance, they proudly invite themselves into all rooms. Full headlight on five mirrors of yesteryear that have not aged.

The rattan mirror

Boosted by the retro wave, rattan is making a comeback in our interiors! Finished the old-fashioned image that has stuck to his skin in recent years, today he sits proudly in all the rooms of the house to warm the atmosphere in a chair, rocking chair and of course in a mirror. If you particularly like to find old models in the shape of a flower, an apple, a diamond or even a star on flea markets, know that the big brands offer you re-editions just as pretty. At AM PM, the rattan mirror is round or square but just as retro as those of the 1950s.

The sun mirror

As the name suggests, the sun mirror is designed so that all its branches represent, once attached to the central mirror, a sun and its many rays. The best known of them is the Vallauris model from the 1950s, golden and with many metal branches. Easy to find in garage sales, it nevertheless turns out to be quite expensive… We therefore prefer cheaper reissues that take care of the role very well. Our favorites? The large model in light wood Kampar from Maisons du Monde and the Soly mirror all in gold dressed at Alinéa.

The witch mirror

Icon of French design of the 50s, the witch mirror has the distinction of being a convex mirror, that is to say curved. The reflected image is then completely distorted, ideal for giving its interior a touch of originality. Often surrounded by a wooden circle or large branches like the sun mirror, it is easily fixed in an entry or in a living room where it will not go unnoticed.

The triptych mirror

You probably know the triptych, called "barber's mirror", made up of three mirrors that fold over each other when you put it away. Not only reserved for the bathroom, we dare them today in any room with a little preference for the bedroom and the entrance. Our new favorite: the model imagined by Sophie Ferjani for Graham & Brown. We also particularly like the highly decorative XXL model that AM PM offers and which we are adopting this time in our living room.

The rear view mirror

If you like the rear view mirror, be ready to get up early. Because if you find them in many vintage shops or on flea markets, it is difficult to see their successors in the big brands. Very recognizable with their form of "retro car", precisely, they are ideal on a small wall in an entrance or at the end of a corridor. Higher than wide, they give height to the wall while being very decorative with their fine golden contours.
